Quality & Patient Safety
Building Safer Healthcare Environments
Quality in healthcare is not simply about meeting standards or passing inspections.
At its core, quality is about creating systems that help patients receive safe, effective, and respectful care every day.
Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work in both clinical care and healthcare quality. This combination has given me a practical perspective on how policies, procedures, and organizational decisions directly affect the experience of patients and healthcare professionals.
My goal has always been to help healthcare organizations strengthen patient safety, improve clinical processes, and support healthcare teams in delivering the highest possible standard of care.
Experience in Healthcare Quality and Accreditation
Over the years, I have participated in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation processes, and institutional evaluations within healthcare organizations in Argentina.
These experiences allowed me to understand quality from two complementary perspectives:
External Evaluation
ITAES – Technical Institute for Healthcare Accreditation
As part of healthcare accreditation activities, I participated in institutional evaluations designed to assess compliance with recognized quality and safety standards.
This work involved reviewing clinical processes, organizational structures, documentation systems, and safety practices to determine whether institutions met established accreditation requirements.
Through these evaluations, I gained a broader understanding of how healthcare organizations operate and how quality systems can support better patient outcomes.
Internal Quality Improvement
Sanatorio Clínica Modelo de Morón and Other Healthcare Organizations
In addition to participating in external evaluations, I worked alongside healthcare teams preparing institutions for accreditation and quality reviews.
This experience involved supporting clinical departments, reviewing processes, organizing documentation, developing improvement plans, and helping teams translate quality standards into practical daily activities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this work was collaborating directly with healthcare professionals to create sustainable improvements that benefited both patients and staff.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Encouraging communication and cooperation between clinical teams, leadership, and support services to achieve shared quality goals.
A Practical Perspective on Quality
My background in nursing, infection prevention, healthcare epidemiology, and public health has shaped the way I approach quality improvement.
When evaluating a process, I always try to answer a simple question:
How will this affect the patient receiving care?
This perspective helps ensure that quality initiatives remain focused on their true purpose not paperwork or compliance alone, but safer care, better outcomes, and a better experience for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Continuing to Learn and Contribute
Healthcare quality is an ongoing journey rather than a final destination.
I remain interested in supporting initiatives that strengthen patient safety, encourage professional development, improve healthcare processes, and contribute to more reliable and compassionate healthcare systems.
Every improvement, no matter how small, has the potential to make a meaningful difference in someone's care experience.
